In force

Refunds and cancellation.

How to stop paying, what happens when you do, and when you get money back. Written to be usable at the moment you actually want it rather than complete.

How to cancel

Open your billing screen and press Cancel subscription. It takes one click, it does not need an email to us, and nobody will try to talk you out of it. You can also cancel from the link on any receipt.

What happens after you cancel

Nothing until the period you have already paid for ends. The assistant keeps answering until then. After that the account returns to the free plan: your guide, your sections, your photos and your QR code all keep working, and the ask box stops answering. Nothing is deleted, and the printed code on somebody's fridge keeps pointing at a guide that still loads.

Renewals

A subscription renews for the same period at the same price until you cancel it. The renewal date is on your billing screen from the moment you subscribe, and we email you before a renewal that follows a price change.

When we refund

If Askello did not do what this site says it does, tell us and we will refund you — we would rather return the money than argue about it. We refund in full where the product was faulty or not as described, and where you were charged after cancelling. We do not automatically refund an unused part of a period you chose to leave early, but ask us: a subscription nobody used is not money we want to keep.

Who actually issues it

Whoever took your money. Where an order was placed through our reseller, their buyer terms govern the sale and they process the refund — we approve it and it is paid back to the card you used. We will not refuse a refund the reseller has agreed to. Either way the fastest route is to email us and say what happened.

Charged by mistake

A duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a charge you do not recognise: email us with the date and the amount and we will refund it. Please do this before asking your bank — a chargeback takes far longer for you and costs us a fee, and there is nothing here worth either.

There is no trial to forget about

The free plan is the trial and it does not expire, so nothing starts charging you because a clock ran out. You only ever pay after choosing a plan and seeing its price.

Who takes your order

Askello sells directly. Payments are processed by Stripe, card details never reach Askello, and the charge appears on your statement under Askello's own name.
