Subprocessors
Everybody who touches your data.
You are the controller for what your guests write; Askello is your processor. These are the companies we use to run the service, what each one touches, and where it runs.
| Company | What it touches | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Polar Software, Inc. | Takes the order as merchant of record: payment, invoicing, tax and refunds. Card details never reach Askello. | EU / global |
| Anthropic PBC | Answers a guest's question from your published guide sections; reads a reply somebody sent to one of our emails, to sort it and suggest an answer a person sends; and runs the automated assistants that help us run our outreach, which read the questions hosts we wrote to typed into the sample guide we made for them. A processor on our instructions; not used to train their models. | United States |
| Render Services, Inc. | Hosting and the database — everything you and your guests write. | Frankfurt, EU |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Object storage for the photos and logos you upload (R2). | EU |
| Mixpanel, Inc. | Product analytics: which events happened and when, with an anonymous label for the person, the kind of device and browser, and an approximate location worked out from the IP address, which Mixpanel does not keep. Never a guest's question, an answer, a search term or your email address. For a visitor to this site who accepted the cookie banner, also which pages they opened and what they clicked, recorded by Mixpanel's own script. | EU project |
| Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) | Error reporting. Carries request context when something breaks, which can include an identifier. | United States |
| Our email provider | Sending password resets and billing notices to you. Never to your guests — they have no account and we ask them for no address. | EU / United States |
| n8n GmbH | Runs the growth workflows over prospect records. Touches no host account and no guest data. | EU |
When this list changes
We update this page before a new subprocessor starts handling anything, not after. If you have a contract with us that requires notice, we will email you as well.
A data processing agreement
Askello acts as your processor for everything your guests write, and these terms plus this list are the substance of that. If your own compliance needs a signed agreement on paper, ask us and we will send one — we would rather sign yours than argue about ours.
What your guests are told
Every published guide carries its own privacy notice before a guest can ask anything, naming what is kept and for how long. They are never asked for a name, an email address or a phone number.
