Askello vs Touch Stay: a plain comparison for hosts with a few places

September 04, 2026

Touch Stay has been making digital guidebooks since 2014 and is the product most hosts hear of first. If you are choosing between it and Askello, this page is meant to save you an afternoon: what each one does, stated plainly, with the places Touch Stay is ahead left in.

Everything about Touch Stay below was read from its own website on 3 September 2026. Prices and features change; check touchstay.com before you decide. Askello’s prices are on our pricing page, and nowhere else on this site, so they can never be out of date here.

What Touch Stay is

A guest experience platform that grew out of a guidebook. A host builds a guidebook, shares it by link or QR code, and can add scheduled messages before and after the stay, an upsell store, review prompts and feedback forms. The first guidebook can be built from a pasted Airbnb or Booking.com link. The guidebook translates itself into thirty-plus languages, and an AI chat answers guests from the guidebook’s content on every plan. It connects to more than forty property-management systems, which is what makes it work for a company running fifty units.

Touch Stay sells one feature set and prices it by property count: about €89 a year for one place, $285 a year for five, with a fourteen-day free trial and no free plan.

Choose Touch Stay if

You manage more than a handful of places, or you use a property-management system and want the guidebook to fill itself from it. You want to sell early check-in and late checkout from inside the guide. Your guests read in many languages and you want the whole guide, not only the answers, in theirs. You want a product with twelve years and thousands of hosts behind it. Every one of those is a real reason, and Askello does none of them today.

Choose Askello if

You have one to five places and want the guide and the assistant without a monthly bill until the assistant has earned one. You want to see which section an answer came from, because you would rather check than trust. You want the questions the guide could not answer handed back to you as a list, so the guide gets better instead of the inbox getting fuller. You would rather your guests were asked for nothing: no email at the door, no cookie until they type a question. And you want the AI held to your words only, and told to say so when it does not know.

The honest summary

Touch Stay is the bigger product, and for a property manager it is the right one. Askello is the smaller product on purpose: a guide, an assistant that cites its sources, and a list of what it could not answer, free for one place. If that is the whole of what you need, you will not miss the rest.
